Do you then still maintain a "private" version for only our eyes and maybe your manager's? Because what if you spent a good deal of time in a given week solving a tricky inter-personal problem? That's work that should get recognized but probably not publicized.
That's a really good point. And yes, I do something like that, but I usually cover the private things in my 1:1 with my manager, or just via async communication during the week.
